ISMS.online allows you to import data across a variety of work areas. This guide explains the general process and highlights updates to imports for the Asset Inventory and Accounts areas.
To ensure a smooth import, please keep the template content and cell locations intact.
Data that can be imported
- Projects
- Accounts and Contacts
- New Users
- Assets (Asset Inventory)
- Risk Registers
General data import process
- Download the relevant template for your work area (e.g., Importing Projects, Importing Users) from the ISMS.online Support Portal.
- Complete the template, adding a new row for each item to be uploaded.
- Send the completed template to support@isms.online or via the live chat within ISMS.online.
- Create a support user using the email format: support+<yourplatformname>@isms.online and give this user Administer rights in the relevant area. This ensures the import aligns with your platform settings.
Importing to the Asset Inventory
- Hover over All Work and select Asset Inventory.
- If your Asset Inventory is empty, click the Import an existing Asset Inventory link.
- Download the asset import template, complete it with your asset details, and email it to support@isms.online.
- Add a support account (support+<organisationname>@isms.online) with Administer access in the Teams section of your Asset Inventory.
Your assets will be imported within the standard 5 working day SLA.
Importing to Accounts
- On the Accounts page, click Create New Account.
- Select Begin Importing in the top-right corner.
- Download the Accounts import template, complete it with your account details, and email it to support@isms.online.
- Add a support account (support+<organisationname>@isms.online) with Administer access in the Teams section of the relevant Accounts.
Accounts will be imported within the standard 5 working day SLA.
Note: After import, you can grant access to specific team members by selecting the account and adding them in the Teams section.
